Favorite Classical Mystery Period
Hopefully you've had a chance to read the first book review on Rome Reborn. If not, you may find it here.
Given that this anthology of short mysteries covers well over 2000 years of time, I was curious as to whether or not  you all have an ancient culture or period within that culture that you love for settings of the mysteries you like to read?

I'm not a fan of any one period but I tend to prefer Roman settings that take place in the city of Rome or in the farther provinces over mysteries set in Greek or Egyptian societies. I think we have enough information about the Roman world to help make the stories feel plausible without relying upon too much fantasy or the incursions of the gods.

Do you like your mysteries set in Greece, Rome, a particular decade or period? Let me know please.
