In my review of "Lost City of Gladiators" I mention the documentary qualities of the show as well as the docudrama aspects of it. The degree of fiction versus facts in so many educational programs varies widely. This show balances the two and that annoyed me.
While there is an empathy challenge when you are teaching or learning about ancient history, is adding fictional elements the best way to address that divide?
I want to know what you think about the balance between docudrama and documentary when it comes to ancient history or show about archeaology.
